Our piano program focuses on developing students' skills in sight-reading, hand positioning, and music theory. And our voice program helps students improve their vocal range, tone, and breath control. Meet Skyler's Music Studio Owner, Skyler
Skyler is a classically trained vocal coach and music instructor. Qualified with a Bachelor of Music Degree from Virginia State University, she studied vocal performance. Classical music was her introduction to the piano, where she learned to read music, so she helps her students with the same foundation. She is skilled in teaching and performing in many different genres. Skyler has experience as a music director for a theater company, an after-school program coordinator, a counselor for summer camps, a music teacher for preschool and elementary schools, a volunteer for several organizations, as well as being a private piano and voice teacher. She is currently the music teacher for Dunleith Elementary School, where she runs a vibrant program of music education.

Hey Hey! My name is Ebony Sowell-Franklin. I am an educator, entrepreneur, vocal coach, piano instructor, and performer. I have over 16 years of experience in early childhood education and professional voice instruction. I work with music lovers and professional singers and actors on Broadway, National/ international tours and major record labels. I studied vocal performance at Clark Atlanta University and earned my Master’s degree in Business. I’ve also studied voice privately for over 15 years.
